Membership Benefits
Club members are entitled to participate in the SJI List Serve, take advantage of a customized health insurance solution, retail Paint store discounts, access NationalREIA benefits and SO MUCH MORE. Listed below are the benefits you can enjoy as a SJI member and some additional details of each benefit.

- Unlimited networking with new and/or seasoned investors willing to share experiences and ideas.
(1) SJI List Serve
FOR REAL ESTATE TOPICS ONLY
- This is an online email discussion forum where members post messages and questions about topics directly related to real estate and receive replies from fellow SJI members.
Join the SJI Listserve and have access to the Listserve messages and information about real estate that are posted by fellow SJI members. If you are creating a new email address for your use with the SJI Listserve, some people find it useful to create a Yahoo email address through Yahoo.com for that purpose. With a Yahoo email address, it is easier to access all of the features of the SJI Listserve.
Three message delivery options available:
(1) Messages will automatically be delivered to you at the email address that you provide in your request.You can either use the same email address that you used to join SJI as the place where you want to receive the SJI Listserve messages, or you can create and use a separate email address that will only be used for your SJI Listserve messages.
(2) Read Only – You do not get any list serve messages delivered to you but you can go to our yahoo site and read the messages you are interested in.
(3) Messages will be delivered to you in a “Daily Digest” format. One email per day contains all list serve discussion threads for that day.
Instructions:
1. Go to www.yahoo.com and create a yahoo account.
2. Associate your new yahoo account with your email address that is currently on the list serve.
3. Now — Go to http://groups.yahoo.com and change your profile to Daily Digest. To get to your profile, go to “Edit Membership” and select “Daily Digest” followed by “Save Changes”.
TO JOIN THE LISTSERVE: send an email to: info@southjerseyinvestors.org and indicate you want to join the SJI Listserve. Include your first and last name so we can verify you have a current membership. Put in the subject line: ADD ME TO THE
LISTSERVE. If you want Daily Digest or Read Only, note that in your email.

(2) SJI-ALL@yahoogroups.com
AN ADDITIONAL SJI CHAT FORUM – this is to be used for all club topics such as the discussion of club operations, bylaws, elections, etc.
Here’s how to sign up for the SJI-ALL list serve:
(1) If you have a Yahoo email account, or you are willing to set one up (recommended), then go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SJI-ALL. If you do not already have a Yahoo email address, click on the blue “Join This Group!” icon and it will prompt you to set one up.
OR ( 2) If you do not have a Yahoo email address, and do not want to set one up: Send an email request to SJI-ALL-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. BE SURE TO INCLUDE your full name and a statement that you are a member of SJI.
OR (3) Send an email to info@southjerseyinvestors.org and request to be added. Put in the Subject line: Add me to SJI-ALL
NOTE: TO ALL LIST SERVE USERS:
You must follow the Listserve Policy which is available on our website. Participation in either list serve is a privilege per our policy. Please conduct all discussions with adult courtesy.
(3) Home depot discount programs for SJI Members
a) KEY TAG PROGRAM. Help Home Depot keep track of all our purchases by using the sticker on your membership card so they can keep accurate records of our purchases. This program also sends rewards to the club to use for give-aways. If you need a sticker ask Tammy for one and she will mail it to you (assistant@southjerseyinvestors.org)
Also if you use your key tag in South Jersey you will get free delivery of your order of at least $650.00.
b) 2% CASH REBATE. Register your form of payment with the HD website and you get a 2% cash rebate every 180 days. To get instructions to fill out the form send an email to HD@southjerseyinvestors.org
c) VOLUME PRICING PROGRAM. We have worked out a deal to get Volume pricing thru the bid room. You must use the club phone # and go to the pro desk. You can save as much as 20 to 30 % according to what you buy. Remember you must use the club # and you must go thru the pro desk. Also please don’t abuse this program, have at least $100.00 per use.

(4) Retail Paint Store Discounts
1. Sherwin Williams
All members of South Jersey Investors, Inc. can participate in NaREIA’s discount program. (All stores participate in this discount program.) You need a SPECIAL DISCOUNT CARD in order to participate. To receive your card – send an e-mail to assistant@southjerseyinvestors.org or call our club phone at 856-663-1133.
Discounts Offered (OFF LIST PRICE): Paints- Up to 38% and Supplies- Up to 30%. They have about 2500 stores across the US and Canada. Other Services offered are free delivery, custom color matching, and a wide assortment of coatings for various applications. Charge accounts are available upon credit checks. SHERWIN-WILLIAMS Sales Rep’s are available to inspect jobs for bidding or to make recommendations. They also sell wall coverings and floor coverings as well as sale in spray equipment.
2. MAB Paints
Just about every product that MAB Paints sells in every store is logged into their system with South Jersey Investor’s special pricing. No need to buy in quantity to get these discount prices. Go to your local MAB Paint store, tell them you are a SJI member, show them your SJI membership card and order your supplies (it’s that easy). You may open an M.A.B. Paints Charge Account or pay cash (cash account #99200). ONLY CORPORATE STORES PARTICIPATE IN THIS DISCOUNT PROGRAM (not Franchises). Go to the MAB Paints website, click on STORE LOCATOR to find the store nearest you. Call them to verify they are a CORPORATE Store.
(5) Insurance Coverage
Long Term Care Insurance Provided by Berkshire Life Insurance
You, your spouse or other family member may someday need assistance with the basics of living. The phrase, “long term care” is used to describe assistance with daily activities including: dressing, bathing, eating, moving from place to place, and using the bathroom. Long term care can take place at home, in an assisted living facility, in a nursing home, or in the community through special programs, but no matter how or where it takes place, it can be expensive.
As a member of SJI, you, your spouse, your parents and/or grandparents, your spouse’s parents and/or grandparents, and your children will all receive a 10% discount on your annual premium.

(a) A “deal table”is available at main meetings — Bring 20 copies of your real estate deals (criteria to participate – must own equitable interest and be a curent club member)

(d) List your properties in the monthly Newsletter in the Marketplace Section
